7 Perfect Places for Pancake Day

7 Perfect Places for Pancake Day

by Newcastle University

Treat yourselves this Shrove Tuesday and indulge in some sweet, chocolatey or savoury crepes at one of our favourite tip top cafes. And all within a mile walk from campus, you'll be utterly spoiled for choice...

La Petite Creperie

Originally in Grainger Market, NE1 5AF, now a "pop-up" creperie.

La Petite Creperie is owned by Julien and Fred, two French men who left their Parisian creperie to share the yummiest traditional recipes with the rest of the world (lucky us!).

They offer a range of fancy flavours such as Belgian chocolate or salted butter caramel, as well as savoury choices made with cheese and ham. But don’t just take our word for it, you have to try these classic crepes fresh from the experts themselves. Find them across the region in their pop-ups!

Plus, they’re located just a hop, skip and jump from campus, so there’s no excuse not to nip in and treat yourself!
