The final stretch of the semester is here and campus is definitely starting to feel a little different.
Libraries are busy, the weather is brighter and there’s that strange mix of deadlines, excitement and counting down the days until summer.
In this edition, we’ve pulled together a summer checklist, student tips and a few lighter reads to help you feel a little more prepared, motivated and hopefully less overwhelmed as the semester comes to a close.
All the best,
Yvonne

This edition spotlights the Estates and Facilities team:
💬 You said: "Campus facilities are spread cover large distances and it would be good to have study spaces with more facilities."
👂 We listened: The University is currently undertaking an Estates Optimisation exercise of the campus that will look into matters like this.
The initial plan is to create a clear road map for the University's physical space which will outline the necessary interventions to ensure the future estate aligns with the University strategic goals.
The vision is to create an estate that enhances the current sense of place but works smarter by being more sustainable and being future proofed to support the needs of high quality education and research.
Use the Study Space Finder to check opening times, availability and locations of study spaces and PCs across campus.
Did you know you can also study in teaching rooms that aren't being used for classes or meetings? Please check the timetable displayed outside the room and be prepared to leave if a session is scheduled. Check out this Instagram post for inspiration of where to go!
Don’t forget about our social study areas too across campus, including spaces in Stephenson Building, Dame Margaret Barbour Building, Urban Sciences Building, Frederick Douglass Centre and Henry Daysh Building.
🍜 Pick-up Pasta is back: During the assessment period, free packets of pasta, noodles or soup are available to help keep you fuelled while you study. Please bring your own mug and cutlery!
