Read more 💼 Gain real industry experience this summer In partnership with Practera, we're offering students the opportunity to take part in the Newcastle University: Global Industry Project (July 2026).   This is a flexible, fully virtual industry experience, designed to help you build practical, career-relevant skills alongside your studies.   Working in multidisciplinary teams, you’ll tackle real industry challenges for startups, SMEs, NGOs and innovative organisations.   🗓 6 to 24 July 2026 (25 hours over 3 weeks) 🖱️ Apply by 10 June Learn more & apply ♻️ ResLife ReHome reminder: Donate unwanted items before you move out and help incoming students settle into university life.   ResLife ReHome collects reusable items such as kitchenware, books and coat hangers, giving them a second life with new students arriving in September.   Donation points are available across campus until 28 June. Learn more  📈 Summer Careers Service Support With summer officially here and our final-year students starting to graduate, the campus might feel a little quieter. But don’t worry, the Careers Service isn’t going anywhere.    We provide in-person and online bookable appointments right throughout the year and it could be the perfect opportunity for you to access our support.   Find out more about what the Careers Service can do for you this summer. Careers Support 👂 You said, we listened, we acted Over the year, we’ve been sharing how student feedback has helped shape changes across campus, from libraries and wellbeing to catering, careers, facilities and digital services.   Take a look at the actions taken in response to your feedback and see how your views are helping improve the student experience at Newcastle. Learn more 📧 Be alert to SharePoint phishing emails: We are currently seeing an increase in phishing emails that use Microsoft SharePoint file sharing notifications to trick students and colleagues into clicking malicious links.   📚 Philip Robinson Library refurbishment: Level 1 will be refurbished over the summer to create a more modern, accessible and collaborative study space. Alternative study spaces will be available across campus while work takes place.   😎 Your summer wellbeing [accessible view]: Explore how to make the most of summer to maintain wellbeing, staying safe while having fun, and ideas for reading and activities.   💰 Support to help you to stop or reduce gambling: If you are concerned about the gambling you are participating in or the gambling of someone you know, there are services available to support you.
