🛎 Student Services returning to King's Gate

King's Gate exterior

Student Services will be returning to King’s Gate Levels 1 and 2 from Monday 28 April 2025. Key features include:

  • A central helpdesk on Level 1
  • Wellbeing consultation rooms and student-centred spaces with enhanced accessibility features
  • START UP space and Pop-Up Shop for students working on their own business, freelance careers or social enterprise

The Student Services desk at Great North House will be closed permanently from Monday 28 April. Please visit King’s Gate Level 1 for all enquiries from this date.

Share your feedback about your experiences as a research student, including supervision, resources, research community, progress and assessment, and skills and professional development.

Could you present your research in just three minutes using only one slide?

 

​The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, originally developed by the University of Queensland, Australia, has been adopted by universities worldwide. The competition offers training followed by the chance to compete in a university final, with the winner advancing to the National Competition 2025. Deadline for entries: Wednesday 30 April 2025.

 

Newcastle University has a tremendous record in Vitae's national competition, four times reaching the national finals, with wins in the People's Choice Award and Jo Baker winning the 2024 competition! Watch Jo’s National Prize-winning presentation.
