You are receiving this email as you are entered for one or more in-person digital exams in the upcoming exam period (Tuesday 6 – Tuesday 20 January).
We have some useful reminders for you to help ensure that the start of your digital exam goes smoothly.
PC Log-in Details
For all in-person digital exams, you’ll need to use your University PC log-in details (i.e. your University IT account details) to access the exam.
Please make sure you know these in advance.
Username:
Your username is not quite the same as the student number on your smartcard. Your username will begin with the letter ‘b’ or ‘c’ instead of the first digit, and the final digit on the smartcard is not part of the username.
For example, if your student number was 212345678, the username would be b1234567.
Password:
If you can’t remember your password, then please reset it before the day of the exam. You can do this by contacting the IT Service Desk on (0191) 208 5999 or visit the staffed IT Service Support Hubs in the Frederick Douglass Centre or Philip Robinson Library.
Arrive at least 20 minutes early
The exam will begin at the scheduled start time so it is important that you arrive at least 20 minutes early. This will ensure that you have enough time to get logged in (and to resolve any issues) before the start of the exam.
Please be aware that it is not possible to provide any additional exam time for students who are delayed in starting due to not knowing their log-in details.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the team by completing our Exam Help Form.
We wish you the best of luck with all your exams!
